SAMSax - Innovative applications from residual materials

3D Printing Conference powered by STRATASYS: We are looking forward to Dr.-Ing. Lisa Kühnel's (SamSaX) presentation at the anniversary edition of Rapid.Tech 3D 2024.

SAMSax - Innovative applications from residual materials
The simul+ model project Sustainable Additive Manufacturing in Saxony, or SAMSax for short, pursues the vision of enabling a sustainable and ecological turnaround in Saxony's industry. Organic and inorganic waste materials and by-products from industry and agriculture are to be upcycled and reintegrated into industrial production as innovative components with the help of additive manufacturing (3D printing). The SAMSax real-world laboratory uses the residual materials in powder form with customised binders and develops corresponding process chains in order to generate local added value with sustainable products.
The applications can be as diverse as the residual materials used:
Restorations that are first scanned and then reprinted, stage sets with props made from our own wood residues , lightweight panels made from jeans with optimised infill structures, individual candle arches with a wooden look, accordions made from lightweight materials, scalable models in museums and all of this produced using 3D printing, of course.
We can do it and you want it too? We are happy to offer you free analyses of your residual materials and/or joint developments and testing of your application ideas.
