3D Pioneers Challenge

International design competition for additive manufacturing technologies

The 3D Pioneers Challenge is aimed at pioneers and innovators who are resilient in shaping a sustainable tomorrow. pushing boundaries.

The 3DPC will be held for the eighth time as part of the Rapid.Tech 3D, (Messe Erfurt, May 9-11, 2023), the future-oriented specialist event of the AM scene and a creative meeting place for start-ups as well as for experts and industry giants of additive manufacturing.

The FOCUS of the 2023 competition is "RESILIENCE. NOW. Advanced Technologies to enable a sustainable tomorrow." The 3DPC2023 invites pioneers of all generations with this way of thinking to use the platform and present corresponding concepts, projects or new business models.

Projects for the 2023 competition could be submitted until March 1. We are looking forward to publishing the FINALISTS 2023 here soon!

The prize money of 35,000 Euros was kindly provided by the Thuringian Ministry for Economics, Science and Digital Society.

The 7th edition of the international design competition for additive manufacturing and advanced technologies called for the submission of innovative design projects. The challenge is part of Rapid.Tech 3D, the future-oriented specialist event for the AM scene and a creative meeting place for start-ups as well as experts and industry giants in additive manufacturing. The competition addresses students, young professionals / start-ups and professionals - who work in design or technical areas such as automobiles, software, research or the medical sector.

In 2022, prizes with a total value of 150,000 EUR were awarded in the following nine disciplines to the named projects:
