Preparations are underway for the 18th Rapid.Tech 3D trade fair from 17 to 19 May 2022 – with a call for all papers and exhibitor registrations

After two years without face-to-face interaction due to the pandemic, preparations are now in full swing for the next in person meeting of the AM family at Rapid.Tech 3D 2022. From 17 to 19 May 2022, Messe Erfurt will once again be welcoming additive manufacturing innovators in person to the 18th edition of Germany’s longest standing AM trade fair.

“Industrial 3D printing has gained further impetus since 2019. Recent studies have shown that growth is continuing across all sectors. Stakeholders in development and application are keen to discuss new developments in AM ‒ not via video conference but face-to-face, at in‑person demonstrations and talks. So we’re getting Rapid.Tech 3D ready for next May, and we’re looking forward to welcoming exhibitors and speakers, conference guests and exhibition visitors back to the Congress Centre and the exhibition hall,” says Michael Kynast. That said, the Messe Erfurt CEO also points out that parts of the event will also be available online: “Key lectures from the specialist conference will also be streamed live so that we can deliver all the latest news from the world of AM to everyone who is interested, wherever they may be in the world.”

Call for papers – deadlines are 6 December 2021 and 5 January 2022
The specialist conference remains the centrepiece of Rapid.Tech 3D 2022 and focuses on innovation, practical applications and the latest research. In addition to the keynote speeches and panel discussions, the world-class conference programme also includes over 70 lectures from industry and science. Two strands of the conference offer a variety of forums taking a user’s-eye view of issues currently affecting the additive industry and its customers, while a third strand presents the latest findings from AM research. In tried-and-tested fashion, the quality of contributions will be assured through double-blind reviews. Prospective speakers are currently being invited to submit papers. Papers on use cases should be submitted to the advisory board by 6 December 2021, with details of specific content and which industry sector they relate to. The closing date for science submissions is 5 January 2022. Unabridged versions of lectures must also be submitted by this date.
