Rapid.Tech expands “vertical manufacturing”

Large number of market leaders on the additive / joint exhibition stands for service providers, universities and CAD/CAM providers

Prominent newcomer to Rapid.Tech. Trumpf Laser Technology, the global market and technology leader in the field of industrial lasers, is celebrating its exhibition première in Erfurt. This confirms the trend already highlighted in 2015 by Messe Erfurt CEO Wieland Kniffka: “Increasing numbers of companies from traditional industrial sectors are using Rapid.Tech as a marketing and communications platform.”

In 2016, the Erfurt trade fair duo, Rapid.Tech & FabCon 3.D, is once again heading for record levels of attendance. From 14 to 16 June, the trade fair management expects about 160 exhibitors from ten countries. Kniffka has identified another trend here: “Adding a third day prompts many companies to significantly increase the size of their stand areas and exhibit more machines.”
The current exhibitor list boasts a large number of market leaders, including botspot GmbH, Concept Laser GmbH, EOS GmbH, Keyence Deutschland GmbH, Materialise GmbH, SLM Solutions GmbH and Stratasys GmbH, amongst others.

In 2016, Rapid.Tech & FabCon 3.D are also offering joint exhibition stands for contract manufacturers of additive manufacturing technologies as well as for universities and institutes of higher education. CAD, CAM and 3D visualisation suppliers will convene in the CAE forum. “In this way, participants from these sectors can enjoy a trade fair appearance with little effort and with no need for complex trade fair planning.”

Rapid.Tech & FabCon 3.D
The Rapid.Tech trade fair and user conference is aimed specifically at users and developers of additive manufacturing technologies. With participants from over 18 countries, it has remained one of the most important informational events in Europe for 12 years now. With its mix of think tank and application-focused exhibition, it offers plenty of opportunity for discussion and dialogue between newcomers to the field, experts, researchers and users. 160 exhibitors, over 4,000 trade visitors and more than 700 conference participants from Europe and around the globe are expected in Erfurt from 14 to 16 June 2016. Since 2013, Rapid.Tech has been flanked by FabCon 3.D. This is a meeting point both for creative start-ups and for experts and major players in the 3D printing community. The 3D Printing Conference held alongside the world-class trade fair as part of FabCon 3.D has quickly established itself as an important international forum in its own right. Key themes for the conference, which attracts creative professionals, designers, newcomers and industry experts from Europe and overseas, will include the areas of food printing, design and architecture. Training, copyright law, business start-ups and business models in the 3D printing sector will also be covered.
