Rapid.Tech and FabCon 3.D achieve International Trade Fair status

The 2016 Rapid.Tech and FabCon 3.D trade shows have achieved International Trade Fair status. Messe Erfurt GmbH received the good news in late September: following a review by the FKM (Society for the Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics) and AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry), the dual trade fairs became the first in Thuringia to be awarded this status. To be considered an international trade fair, at least ten per cent of the exhibitors must come from outside Germany, and visitors must come from across a wide region with at least five per cent from abroad. With this award, Rapid.Tech and FabCon 3.D have established themselves as international figureheads for Thuringia and Erfurt as a trade fair city.

With a 24 per cent increase in exhibition space, exhibitor numbers up 21 per cent and visitors up 13 per cent in 2016 compared to the previous year, Erfurt’s dual 3D Printing events are going from strength to strength. Companies from 17 countries registered for this year’s fairs, representing Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. Of the 176 companies exhibiting at the events, 31 came from outside of Germany – a total of 17 per cent.
Overall, the trade fair team welcomed 4,343 trade visitors and conference participants across the three days of the events. Eight per cent of visitors came from abroad.

The next Rapid.Tech and FabCon 3.D will take place from 20 – 22 June 2017 at Messe Erfurt.
