Networking is a key part of the online event – discounted tickets for the virtual conference available until 31 May 2021
(Erfurt, May 18th 2021) Participants in the digital Rapid.Tech 3D 2021 on 22 and 23 June will not have to miss out on face-to-face conversation and new contacts. “Even under coronavirus restrictions, we will continue to offer the triad of a high-calibre specialist conference, engaging exhibitor presentations and attractive networking formats. Our team has come up with a whole host of creative ideas, especially with regard to digital networking” says Michael Kynast, CEO of Messe Erfurt GmbH.
Every guest will be assigned a digital business card, which they can fill out with their personal details and areas of interest, and which gives them access to the networking area. It also provides every participant with specific suggestions for potential contacts. In addition, the networking area allows participants to view all speakers, exhibitors and guests and contact them via text chat, video call or message. A calendar function enables appointments to be booked with potential contacts. A special feature of the networking area is the “chat roulette” function. Guests who activate this function can connect with other users in rotating video calls, similar to speed-dating, and use the allocated time for discussion and building new contacts.
The Rapid.Tech 3D specialist conference and virtual exhibition will provide plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking. Under the overarching theme of sustainability, 40 speakers from industry and research will present practical additive manufacturing (AM) solutions. Live streamed presentations by users and providers of additive technologies will provide examples of best practice and discuss the latest developments in Automotive & Mobility; Medical & Orthopaedic Technology; Aviation; Software, Processes & Design; and Tool, Model & Mould Making. In addition, the brand new “News From AM” forum will take a look at the not too distant future of additive manufacturing. A Rapid.Tech Special will also be held alongside this, focusing on innovations arising from research and development, which will be explored in the AM Science and Fraunhofer Specialist Additive Manufacturing Area forums along with another new format, AM in Construction Engineering & Architecture.

Alongside the conference from the Rapid.Tech live TV studio, exhibitors will present their products and services via a virtual exhibition, which will enable them to link to social media channels and provide them with a direct connection to the conference. A wide range of well known companies and research institutes have already registered, including AM Polymers, Farsoon, Stratasys and toolcraft.
