How satisfied were you with your trade fair presence at Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D 2019?

We were very satisfied with Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D 2019. The high quality of the visitors is important to us. The mix of experts and "fresh" prospects is ideal. You have time for product presentations and a professional exchange on the progress in our markets.

What is special about the event in Erfurt?

Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D in Erfurt lives from content. The combination of trade show, conference and networking is unique in Europe in this way.
The various expert forums offer high-class lectures that convey valuable content to the user, whether beginner, professional or researcher.
Although there are larger fairs, but in Erfurt, the visitors get not only impressions but also answers.
Small but nice. Here, also an exhibitor presents another offerer to an interested party.
If a company deals with additive manufacturing, a visit to Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D with a conference ticket should be compulsory.

What kind of highlights did you present in Erfurt at your stand?

We first introduced the new 3D scanner LEO, which now allows us to capture complex objects in less time. No cable restricts freedom of movement. Even scanning in the sunlight, we showed a customer in the outdoor area.
Then our key product Geomagic Freeform plays the lead role. There is no more productive solution for working with organic forms, as is the rule in medical and orthopedic technology, for example.
We were very pleased that already in the first keynote lecture by Prof. dr. Dr. Majeed Rana has shown some examples of the use of Freeform in surgical planning and implant design.
Since the last update the version 2019 offers the possibility to automate recurring work steps and thus to increase the productivity significantly. Our customers and prospects have welcomed the progress.
And a special highlight was, of course, our co-exhibitor Andreas Velten from IFA3D from Berlin. There is nothing more convincing than being an authentic user of our technologies that can show and explain to visitors their applications and real results.
Incidentally, Andreas Velten got to know us as a visitor at Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D 2014. What is important to us is the message that a prospective customer who reaches the limits with his classic CAD applications can find the right solution with us; we were able to prove this several times in 2019 and convince new prospects.

In which way did you use the networking opportunities of the event?

First of all, there is the event atmosphere: It's easy to start talking on Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D. We work with additive manufacturing in an eco-system of software, hardware and material suppliers, users and service providers, where interesting news can be exchanged very quickly. The trade show and specialist conferences offer enough space to get to know each other and discuss things, at the stands, in the catering area, during the evening event or even in the beautiful old town of Erfurt: For three days, the who-is-who of Additive Manufacturing is also there In the evening to be found in a beer garden or restaurant in the Thuringian capital.

Will you also participate in the upcoming Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D in Erfurt?

Of course, after the success of this year we will again participate in Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D 2020 in Erfurt.

Naturally! In 2020 also very likely with a lecture in the forum of medical, dental and orthopedic technology, because we are already working on the new developments, which would like to explain to a larger audience.
