AM @ Boeing – Step Towards Digital Qualification and Sustainability

Digital qualification (DQ) of additive manufacturing (AM) parts in aerospace industry involves an integrated approach that leverages digital technologies, simulations and data-driven insights to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of AM components

Digital qualification (DQ) of additive manufacturing (AM) parts in aerospace industry involves an integrated approach that leverages digital technologies, simulations and data-driven insights to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of AM components. This process is used to mitigate risks, accelerate innovation and enhance the overall efficiency of AM process in regard to aerospace industry. This talk revolves around the AM activities within Boeing with focus on DQ and sustainability. As several steps are involved in DQ of AM parts in Aerospace industry, this talk will focus on simulation and modelling, process monitoring and control, quality assurance and inspection and lifecycle management of metal additive parts.
